Building healthier communities through awareness and healthy practices in hygiene, nutrition and overall well-being.
Objective
To improve health outcomes and environmental awareness among school children, teachers, parents, and vulnerable community members—including those with physical, mental, or social disadvantages—by:
- Conducting awareness programmes and counselling on physical, emotional, mental, and environmental health
- Strengthening rural healthcare infrastructure, including primary health centres and school-based support systems
- Building partnerships with healthcare professionals, mental health experts, and community organizations to ensure inclusive and sustained impact

Cleaner Surroundings. Healthier Communities. in collaboration with UshaKiran | Launched in 2024
Project Ujwal Gram connects environmental awareness with better health practices, beginning with children and extending the message to their families.
The initiative focuses on clean water, waste management, personal hygiene and sustainable living, helping children understand how everyday environmental practices influence their health and well-being. Through awareness sessions, visual learning tools and community outreach, the programme seeks to encourage healthier practices and lasting behavioural change.

To make health and environmental messages more engaging and accessible, BlueKare Foundation provided a 55-inch television to UshaKiran for audio-visual learning and awareness sessions.
EXTENDING IMPACT TO FAMILIES
EXTENDING IMPACT TO FAMILIES
The programme extends beyond the classroom through community outreach, enabling children to carry messages on health, hygiene and environmental responsibility into their homes and wider community. The first phase reached 700+ family members.
